Posting - Embed a Document

12

Having the ability to embed videos and presentations into your blog is very important. But what about documents? What happens if you want to post a course syllabus, a permission slip, or even a document that outlines classroom rules and expectations. As you may have guessed, there is an app for that. There are websites out there that give you the ability to upload a document to their site, and then provide you with an embed code that will allow you to post the document onto your blog. Two such sites are:

1. Scribd
2. DocStoc

To embed your own documents you will have to sign up for an account. Once you have an account you will be able to upload and embed your documents with relative ease. Although we will not practice the uploading portion of this process, we will embed a few documents.

Activity:

Go to both Scribd and DocStoc, conduct a search on any topic you wish, and embed one document from each site onto your blog. I have attached two documents below to give you an idea as to what your embedded documents will look like.
